Strain NFT Community Update #1
Matic L2 Integration — XIOTRI partnership — Single Asset Staking — STXP Token Launch — VIP Community Fund.
Hey Indicans! As usual, we have some good news for you. It’s been a wild ride the last couple of weeks or so, as we launched our liquidity mining ecosystem with the fast growing STRN <> ETH pair, distributed a second airdrop to early liquidity providers; rewarding their efforts to secure the network, were joined by an insanely talented new artist in residence, and partnered with the DeFi native, fledging XIOTRI. We also managed to get our Gen 1 NFT Functionality live on testnet for some in-house testing, and were listed on Coin Gecko- making for a much easier and smoother connection to the wider NFT Land community.
STRN pairs have a total of over $400,000 in distributed liquidity, an ATH in daily volume of around $500,000 and the tastiest looking emission curve in the space😋…
So… what do we have next for you, and when, you might wonder!?
Matic L2 Integration
Strain NFT has received a partnership grant from the pre-eminent layer 2 solution in the Etherverse: Matic Network. This means that the infrastructure built by our Solidity Lead Karim, Decentracraft, will now run completely on Matic and use Chainlink as an oracle.
Karim’s build will power our NFT functionality, and also means that all minted Strains will be able to visit other external virtual game worlds, like for example Decentraland.
Our Generation 1 NFT Functionality will launch on Matic Network, 11/27.
STXP Token Launch & Single Asset Staking
On our original roadmap handout, we touched on a number of exciting features that would be coming to the Strain NFT ecosystem. As promised, there would be some surprises along the way, and now we have 3 features coming a lot sooner than we first anticipated. Firstly, Matic Network L2 integration, but also:
- Tokenised player experience (XP) rewards for active community members following the launch of our new STXP token, that can be leveraged for an improved game experience and superior financial incentives.
- Single asset staking. The general theme here is that one could lock up STRN to earn STXP.
STXP is a rare, mined ERC20 element found within the depths of the Etherverse. It is believed that only 100,000 STXP will ever exist in the lifespan of the Strain NFT ecosystem, and equal-opportunity staking distribution will take place over a 6 month period. Rewards will accelerate in daily increments for the entirety of the 6 month period until all STXP has been distributed to the community.
STXP is centrally intended as a breeding and yield amplifier. IE; when you lock up STXP inside an already yielding Strain ERC1155 you will earn increased rewards, or when you burn STXP in the breeding process you will have somewhat increased chances of achieving say; a Supernova🪐 Strain.
In order to earn STXP, one must lock up their STRN on the Strain NFT platform. STXP & Single Asset Staking will go live on Strain 11/20.
VIP Community Fund
The most faithful Indicans in the Etherverse have conspired together to build something truly great and inspiring; a Community Fund that received over 5000 STRN from budding community members in around 48hrs. The goal of the Community Fund is centrally to host contests, drive engagement and carry forward the project as a whole.
The first iteration of Community Fund magic is a meme contest that went live from our Twitter on 11/6 and ended today on 11/13. The winners were voted on by the community, and announced on our Twitter at ~5:30pm CEST:

On 14/11 the Community Fund will launch the first Strain NFT Fan Art Challenge!!
The general theme here is that talent within the community will work hard to produce original artistic content that will hold a valued place in our official channels. This contest will actually run for two weeks, with an unprecedented über attractive prize pool:

Similar to the meme contest, we will announce the winners on our Twitter 28/11, and a voting process will go on throughout the contest duration in the Strain NFT Discord.
Another awesome contest was also hosted independently by a VIP member, with an Avastar NFT given away on a live draw voice chat in our Discord.
