NFT Hack Submission — Strain NFT.

Overview

It was around a week or two in advance of the Untitled Hackathon start date; when Cryptai began to type his way around Discord in energetic search of a team who could help to hack his early vision into a real, functional reality.

Strain NFT is a platform that will enable staking LP tokens in order to power a yielding, characterised, & unique NFT collectable. The collectables live on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC1155s, and our entire verse is powered by the $STRN ERC20 utility token. Some general themes are:

When you lock up your LP tokens to create a Strain: A genetic profile made up of Vibez and Terpz is randomly sequenced, using probabilities. Where each Terpz or Vibez lands in relation to the others is important and results in a different visual output. This means that there are more potential Strain profiles, than there are planets in the actual Universe.
Buzz, or potency, is a total value staked indicator displayed in $STRN. You can upgrade this over time, when you claim your rewards and recycle them into the pool. Higher Buzz = better yield, and vice versa. Higher Buzz also increases the probabilities of landing rare attributes, but only somewhat.
Multiple Strains can be bred together in the ‘Greenhouse’ to achieve further rarity, purity and different hybrid aesthetics. In order to breed a Strain, a small amount of $STRN must be burned. Every time you decide to breed the same Strain, this cost increases.
Different Strains can be bought and sold in the ‘Dispensary’. Whilst there is a mathematic improbability of rarity faced by ecosystem participants, the rewards for intelligent breeding will be wholly in the hands of the community and embodied in this marketplace.
$STRN token holders can vote and shape the future of Strain NFT in the StrainSuperDAO (our governance module).
You can use the Strain NFT platform to superpower any NFT on the Ethereum blockchain, with yielding capabilities, in ‘Area 51’. This is important because you can give any of your collectable assets intrinsic value; whilst earning yield over time.

We are now suddenly, somehow around a month into the project’s development…

We successfully airdropped our utility token, $STRN, on Friday October 16 to around 1000 early community members. A second airdrop will be distributed to $STRN/ETH liquidity providers on Tuesday 27 October, in advance of our platform launch. On Wednesday 28 October, the Strain NFT LP mining ecosystem will go live. Eager participants will enjoy the most lucrative rewards period in the ecosystem’s entire lifespan, during the run up to our NFT generation functionality release on Friday 27 November. The $STRN rewards curve will accelerate every day until 25% of the entire rewards pool has been distributed at the end of the month. Rewards will continue for a further 11 months, slowly decreasing as we continue to release newer platform features.

Naturally, ♻️Hybrid Strains also exist as a result of breeding.

Each Strain is made up of 2 Vibez (1 dominant, 1 recessive) and 3 Terpz (1 dominant, 2 recessive) that influence the visual output, or the ‘Budz’, ‘Eyez’, ‘Jawz’ and ‘Handz’ of your Strain.
